Lyrics
THE LAST DAY

I discovered today
why this world I recant—
I want to live in a sunset
and I know you just can’t.

I want to live without laws
and without license.
I want to see ruins extending
way to the horizon.

I want to selflessly help
my neighbors, worldwide,
to commit simultaneous
mass suicide.

I want to walk through deserted
streets and town squares,
to gaze into their fountains
in beautiful disrepair.

And towards the end of
this last day alive,
I’d like to find the last woman
that managed to survive.

The ideal of womanhood,
she's innocent but wise,
She’d whisper, “Sh-sh, my darling.”
and at sunset, close our eyes.
